Please put effort into pages when creating them

Some articles have been created the same way as you did with Lloyd (Fates) and have been mostly ignored for years (such as Izuka). Additionally, on this page, it says "Please, do not create these pages for the sake of creating them; we would prefer people to improve already existing pages if they are not willing to exhaustively work on one of these." the corrin

Moydow had a bot do it, is why we have "the corrin"/"the robin" on some pages (though I may have also absentmindedly made some of those manually, hee hee) L95 (talk) 16:37, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

Technology. Never trust it. (leaves computer to go play video games) Infernape612 (talk) 23:27, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

Categorizing images

When uploading images, you must properly categorize them. Put the category link in the summary when uploading an image.

Oh, and here's a tip if you are unaware: when mass-uploading images, press the back button to go back to the upload page, and it keeps the description and licensing, so you can just select the new image and then you can just press alt+shift+S (assuming that you have the file named properly on your computer; elsewise you have to change the name first). PikaSamus (talk) 00:55, 15 February 2018 (UTC)

Oh, so that's how you do it! I realized I should have done that midway through, but I had no clue how to do it. Thanks for the info. Infernape612 (talk) 02:21, 15 February 2018 (UTC)

Fates sprites

Heya. I noticed you've added quite a few Fates sprites, and I need your help uploading some more of those as well as some SoV sprites. See, I don't really understand how to handle the whole alpha channel-depth-head thing, and I'm gonna need to know how to if I'm gonna upload these. Do you think you could explain how to handle this stuff? --Xamad (talk) 14:57, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

I'm going to be very honest with you -- I literally yoinked all of them from fireemblem.wikia.com. I have no idea how to turn a sprite sheet into actual sprites. Sorry. Infernape612 (talk) 19:57, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

Three Houses navbox

Yeah, I think it's fine to start putting the blue lions in the playable section. (BTW I 100% approve of your WIP nav that categorizes by house). L95 (talk) 18:19, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

FE16 chapter pages

Hello. I personally feel that for chapters we should have the mission pages be subpages, akin to how we do Gaiden maps. E.g. "Three Houses (Three Houses chapter)/Rivalry of the Houses". The main page would be a broader overview of the chapter and also would talk about Monastery things, with a brief summary section of the mission with a {{main}} link for the mission. PikaSamus (talk) 16:55, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

If you want to do so, fine by me. I just want to get on the board, mostly. It kinda helps that the first two chapters have only one battle available each. Ma 3ds02 sniper takumi vallite enemy.gif Infernape612 (talk) Ma 3ds03 gold knight berkut act v enemy.gif 21:03, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

A quick heads-up

Based on consensus between the admins, we're gonna start merging the chapter pages of FE16 Part II. I.e., we're merging Reunion at Dawn (Silver Snow)/(Azure Moon)/(Verdant Wind) into Reunion at Dawn, and so forth. I wanted to make sure you were aware of this. — Ma 3ds01 myrmidon owain playable.gif Xamad (talk) 01:09, 15 September 2019 (UTC)

Million Dollar Answer

"Million dollar question: why is the site treating the Flame Emperor's gender as female even though I didn't put any gender in for her?" It's because Template:TCGCipherData uses "female" as the default for the "gender#=" fields; the template was initially constructed before the advent of genderless units (that was Limstella in series 7), and a null file was constructed around that time so it omits gender when "none" is inserted into a "gender#=" field. As such, genderless units have to invoke the "gender#=" field and use "none" for the value; omitting the field entirely will show a female. It's also the reason why "affil#=" defaults to "Archanea" (the colorless advent was P09 promotional cards serving as a leadup to Cipher's rival first appearing in series 10, and a redirect was created so affiliation could use the same null file that was created for the genderless stuff). Although it could be technically feasible to rewire these fields to make the "affil#=" and "gender#=" fields completely optional, the fact that a null file exists does not make such rewiring high priority...--Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 02:45, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

Circadian Beat

I think we might be able to simplify how we handle noting this on chapter pages. If we're going to keep adding DLC chars to the ChapData templates (which it looks like we are), I think we might be able to just represent it with Constance's portrait as, in-game, the portrait she uses indicates which effect is active as well. I could probably edit the Circadian Beat page to mention this as well. Do you think this is a good idea? — Ma 3ds01 cleric lissa playable.gif Xamad (talk) 00:01, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

I was kinda thinking the same thing, although the fact that nobody has uploaded her portraits kinda puts a crimp on that. Still, by all means go ahead and do it. Ma 3ds02 sniper takumi vallite enemy.gif Infernape612 (talk) Ma 3ds03 gold knight berkut act v enemy.gif 00:17, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
