The Summoner (サマナー) class is a class introduced in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. In that game, summoners wield dark magic and staves, and they start out as Shamans. The only two possible summoners in the game are Knoll, promoted to this class, or Ewan, promoted to Shaman and then this class. Therefore, it is an ally-only class. Summoners in The Sacred Stones have the Summon skill, which enables them to summon a level 1 Phantom unit with 1 HP. Summoners are unable to use Summon if they already have a live summoned unit. They are also unable to summon into the Fog of War.
Next, the class appeared in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn as Izuka's class for chapter 4-5. In that game, summoners can also use dark magic and staves, and their abilities are Shove and Flare. Instead of phantoms, Izuka can summon feral laguz. The class cannot be obtained by the player.
