Morfis is a country to the southeast of Fódlan.

Morfis is the name of both a metropolis of magic, once known as the "City of Illusion", and the immense desert that surrounds it. Word of the mysterious magic of Morfis continues to spread thanks to an intricate web of trade routes.

Etymology[]

Morfis is likely named after Morpheus, god of dreams and one of the children of Somnus. It may alternatively be named after the mythological druid Morfesa, who in the Book of Invasions is said to have been one of the four druids who taught magic to the Tuatha De Danann in their time in the four cities to the north of the world, before they came to Ireland.
