Kuja[]

I think I found his anorexic half-brother, :p. Drake Clawfang 05:57, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Shouldn't it be his undead anorexic half-brother? And if Kuja isn't anorexic, then I don't know who is. And I found Vivi's evil levitating cousin. 8bit 19:48, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Uh ah; enemy pages should use "Dagger" as it is not referring to plot but the names of characters. In storyline you do/can type character's full names; but in enemy strategies, you should use "Dagger" and "Steiner", not Princess Garnet til Alexandros XVII and Adelbert Steiner. Hope that cleared things up. I'm actually making up this policy on the spot but it makes most sense.  ILHI 09:24, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Ehh: Story writing and Battle writing is different. I suppose it's clear at my wiki why this method is used.

You write the story as if it were a book, or whatever, you explain the events. Therefore all versions of the name are acceptable (although, the first use should use an extended name, at least preferred by me when I'm writing)-- On enemy and boss pages; you are not writing a story. You're giving a strategy. If you say "Summon Bahamut with Princess Garnet til Alexandros XVII" and "Use Sword Arts with Adelbert Steiner"-- well, that's nice; but they should be referred to by their default names: Dagger (at least that place onwards) and Steiner. In battles she is "Dagger" so the article must refer to her as "Dagger". Because you are giving the command to "Dagger".)  ILHI 10:28, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

No problem! For furture reference, instead of copying data from one page and pasting it onto a new one, you can click on the "Move" tab which is near the top of the article. This allows you to keep the original history of the page and rename it easily. 8bit 19:40, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

FF6 Dissidia[]

I'm uploading Part 2 of Terra's story within the hour, if you'd like to see it and Part 1. Kefka hasn't changed much in 15 years - he feeds the heroes a combination of lies and truth, pushing the right buttons to piss them off, then loses his patience and starts blowing shit up and cackling. Fun times! Drake Clawfang 21:08, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Keep them coming, I want to see how the other Chaos villains react to Kefka ^^ Oh, and in response to the previous video.... I dunno, the Joker doesn't sound very.... uh "Final Fantasy"ish... I don't know how to explain it. There's not enough insane hilarity in that clip, and he sounds.. mweh, not "too old", not "too American", but not Kefka. But, I guess a single viedo is not the definite indicator of an actor's voice ability. 8bit 23:54, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Why not grab the guy who played Oshca in Final Fantasy Unlimited? He's crazy enough. Or even better: Sora from .Hack//SIGN. --BlueHighwind 23:57, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Well for more insight to Hamill's Joker voice, 8Bit, check this out. As for the Dissidia vids, here you are. Drake Clawfang 00:01, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Loved Terra's Story Part 2! The scene with Kefka is amazing. Enemies... friends... the world... we'll destroy them all! XD That Japanese voice actor should be given a medal. 8bit 19:25, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

FF9 Ultimania[]

http://thelifestream.net/final-fantasy-ix-ultimania-translations/1887/world-establishment-development-materials-p-40-of-the-ffix-ultimania/#more-1887

You should read it, very interesting stuff on FF9. That Crystal at the end of the game is more important to life than Kuja tells you. Turns out Crystals (plural) are the key to the assimilation of Gaia into Terra. Drake Clawfang 07:47, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, so that kind of explains why the Shimmering Island sends Zidane and co. down to Terra... That's kind of odd, though. Where is Terra's crystal? Both "spheres", per se, of Gaia and Terra should have their centers at the exact same point, and thus their crystal at the exact same point. Or was it destroyed along with the rest of Terra? Odd... This explains the two moons, though. I like the Fusion process, and the assimilation of memories that leads to life.... Thanks Drake =D 8bit 19:25, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
I live to serve, 8bit. :p They posted a second, less-interesting article explaining the two moons and their radiance. But it does explain the Shimmering Island more - the shimmering is created by the combined radiance of Terra and Gaia's Crystals, and is the point where the two worlds joined. When the radiance is at its peak, the door to Terra opens.
BTW, I'll be starting the Zidane storyline for Dissidia within the next couple days. I'll keep ya posted. Drake Clawfang 19:38, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Sure, fire away. Mind using just regular postings and signatures? Oh, you and should get IX. Soon. ^^ 8bit 22:42, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

OK, but I like my talkbubble better. I have an idea for a party that covers all of the good jobs and uses the best combinations that I could think of. Hold on, dinner time. BRB Ninja of Wind
I'm back. I'd like to thank the Irish for St. Patty's day and an awesome meal of corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. So the first job machup I think should belong on Marche. It's not the most original, I just like the idea of a fighter with a ninja's stauts inducing abilities, double sword, and the fighter's overpowered counter ability. Its better on Marche because he is usually the highest level of the group and has the most AP because he's been in the party the longest. Ninja of Wind

No corned beef for me, I'm opting for spaghetti. And garlic bread.

Of course, Dual-wield on Marche. I use knightswords with the Paladin job, but Fighters have their advantages too, i.e their move range and unique abilities. I like the Nagrarok and Exalibur II, but Ebon Blade and Adamant Blade works just as well. I also abuse Ninja Tabi so my normally inhibited Paladin Marche has a Move of 5. Wondering if you've seen this section of my walkthrough? Also, do you have Tactics A2? 8bit 23:31, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

No, I don't have A2 yet, but I have been meening to get it for a while. Also its funny you should mention paladins, because my second idea was to have a human quickly learn two archer abilities and then capture (just so I can have a hunter ready before goblins and dragons go "extinct") but then to move on to learning paladin abilities, learning the rest of the archer abilities and staying at that job (or hunter, I can't decide), and to top it all off, equiping those farrie shoes that let you teleport across the field. So this job would be geared toward powerful ranged attacks and switching to defence at a moment's notice and can cover the entire field. Ninja of Wind
I'm not a big fan of the bow users, but I do have a Hunter in one save file, with the secondary job of an Archer. I'm not sure that Hunters need defense, seeing as how they stick to the back lines. Perhaps a Mage subjob to increase magic defense, since spells are more likely to hit a Ranger? Wait, there's only BM, WM, and Illusionist. T-T Perhaps you have a point with the Paladin... hmm, I think Fighter would be better, though. I like higher Attack ^^ The Faerie Shoes idea is also excellent. 8bit 00:01, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
I understand that hunters don't usually need defence because of their range, but I was thinking about the paladin's cover ability, because even though his job will be hunter, he still has a paladin's responsibility in the party to protect the other characters, and after covering, he can just move back with the farrie shoes. But my next character is just your standard mage combo. Blue mage + black mage, but I don't see the point of keeping him on blue mage still after learning the learning ability, so I usually just switch him back immediatly. And I don't know how well I made this clear before, this party isn't just the six people that you can put into battle, I am thinking of all of the characters that you can interchange depending on the laws and opponents in battle. I will explain more on my next character(and I think that I have found a good use for Montblank after all). Ninja of Wind
To save time in this halting conversation, I think that I am just going to list out the rest of the jobs. Can you answer me on my talk page? I don't want to take up too much space on yours. The next matchup would be based off of a cheat I found on most of the gaming cheat websites(IGN, Gamefacs, you name it). I would have two moogles, one of them Montblank, go through two abilities for thief (not including counter) and one ability for animist, which the best one in my oppinion is sheep count. Next I would have them Learn some basic juggler abilities, then switch them both to mog knight and level up as much as possible. When you have the weapon that teaches the Smile ability, have each of them equip it and master the ability. Then have them switch back to mog knight so they can use smile on each other and over again and gain the HP and defence from the job. When both of them are at level 50, switch the moogle that is not Montblank to gunner and have all of your characters beat up on the moogles to gain exp. The gunner should learn concentrate to make the Mog Rush ability easy to use and should also gaurd to make sure enemies don't attack the lv. 50 moogles and gain levels themselves. Ninja of Wind
My next three matchups are simmple Nu Mou matchups and without creativity. The first is white mage + illusionist, which is just a back row magical attacker and healer. The next is sage + alchemist, the strongest magic users in the game with reflex and Magic Pow+ equiped. The last is a beastmaster and morpher combo to help the blue/black mage get blue magic and use the souls captured by the hunter/paladin. Ninja of Wind
My next on is similar to one that you have. I would have a gladiator learn all of his abilities and strikeback, then have him change to a dragoon to learn everything but the wurm abilities, which are useless. I would swich off between strikeback when fighting monsters, and dragonheart when facing regular characters. Useing Galmia Shoes wouldn't hurt either to move up a steep area and rain down a jump attack from where I can't be hit back. Ninja of Wind
Another matchup would be the white monk for speed, attack, and for good ranged abilities and healing abilities. Then change to a defender. Useful ability conbos would be Aura with Meltdown and Counter with Expert Gaurd. Ninja of Wind
My last two are Viera. One of them is on matchup that you suggested, but I didn't know until now. The red mage and summoner with Half MP, Doublecast, and Reflex. My second one is similar to another one of yours. It is a sniper with an assasin's abilities. I like the idea of conceal and corner working together. And if I had another pair of Fairy Shoes while concealed, I would barely need any other party members. Well those are all twelve of my ideas. I'd like to discuss more on my talk page (if your up for it after reading all of that). You said earlier that I should get FFIX soon, but first, I have to finnish FFV, FFVI, get FFVII, then I will get FFIX. Ninja of Wind 02:10, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Talk template[]

I notice your talk template says in the "name" field "8bit BlackMage|8Bit_Blackmage". I assume this doesn't work, (if it does than it doesn't work for me) and I assume you're trying to do this: 8Bit_Blackmage. If you want to do this add "nick =8Bit_Blackmage".

If I'm completely wrong, I apologise. I don't know why else it would be done, but I never know.  ILHI 20:43, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

I guess when I first made the template (and was a total noob at coding ._.), I thought I needed to have that link there... for some odd reason. Probably a Copypaste mixup. I do like the M capitalized, so thanks for bringing it to my attention :) 8bit 00:19, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

About the hero's category.[]

Hey, I'm the guy that was doing all the funky editing in that category. Anyway, I thought I'd apologize for getting a little carried away. I'd just thought I'd let you know it wasn't out of any malice or anything. Just me screwing around. I'll knock it off though. My apologies.

Hey, no problem. It's kind of vague as to whether anyone can edit how they please on that page, anyway, and I guess the unsung rule is "don't delete anythign and let anyone insert whatever they want". I'd rather it be moved to userspace... 8bit 14:43, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Quik Task[]

Can you protect Forum:Remember when people used to edit the mainspace? @ SysOp level. I thought I should move it to the LoT to make it more visible when I completely forgot an admin had to protect it too.  ILHI 21:09, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Template:Delete[]

The template redirect needs to be deleted for there are problems with the wiki formatting because of "Template:Delete" >;3 AJDurai 02:21, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Before I delete it, what are the problems that the redirect causes, specifically? 8bit 02:27, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Simple. It is not possible for the Template:VFD to be moved there without administrator intervention. You can delete it now, I'm sure >;3 AJDurai 02:32, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Can we move it to "Template:Delete"? I like caps O.o 8bit 02:37, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Wow, that was an extraordinarily stupid comment. Nevermind that ^^ 8bit 02:38, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

A good laugh never hurt anyone. And thank you for your timely intervention, 8bit BlackMage >;3 AJDurai 02:41, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Oh, an additional request. Shall we merge the discussion in the VFD talk page into the Template:Delete discussion page >:? AJDurai 02:48, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
That would probably be best, for Template Talk:VFD to be added to Template Talk:Delete. That means we would need to paste the history of the former onto the latter, but it should be okay; I'll do that.
Also, do we want to leave Template:VFD as a redirect to Template:Delete? I was going to fix the links and then delete VFD, but then I saw that a lot of User talk pages link to VFD, and that if that's deleted right away some people might not notice the change :/ 8bit 02:54, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
How can it be that user talk pages link to such a template? We must remedy that >;3 AJDurai 02:57, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Why is it so weird? Also do not bother changing the links. I do not wish to stop using Template:VFD for it will still function the exact same way. Just Template:Delete is uniform and therefore best for the wiki. Redirect should stay forever.  ILHI 11:49, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Tactics Enemy Abilities[]

I am making a Tactics enemy abilities because it's already in a table format and will be easy to convert. However, there are the abilities where the enemies that use "No*". I understand what this means but should I include them? If I do I'll just put them italics and type a note at the top.  ILHI 12:38, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Alternatively I could not make the page, and every time I need to link to a Tactics enemy ability I link to the enemy race. Although I still want the page so I'll do something else. Actually, ignore everything I've said above.  ILHI 13:58, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
I was going to suggest creating a section exclusively for those "Monster Skill" prompted abilities, that way you would only need to note "These are abilities triggered only by blah blah blah...." once. I see what you're doing now, though. 8bit 14:50, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Grammatical Corrections?[]

End Game - Proud to be a Vandal!
Talk - Little kiddies writing video game walkthroughs have the nerve to tell me to get a life?
None of that puppet's alterations were grammatical, save for one, and even that one was correct both ways. His edits were pure vandalism, no different than mine.

And... a second test warning? Please, don't make me laugh.

I can cycle through those without concern. You know as well as anyone else who has been here that a ban does absolutely nothing to me, and that I do as I please. You also know that I tend to be quite nasty after having being banned, far worse than I am normally.

Don't make me laugh any more with those silly things.
