Lid/Gameplay

Lid is a playable character in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. As an Airship Technician, her abilities resemble those of the recurring Machinist job, and focuses on dealing minor damage and providing support to the party. She currently has five variants: "Lid", "Black Cat Lid", "Summer Lid", "Hunter Lid", "Artisan Lid", and her Season Two variant "Heavenly Technician Lid".

Lid[]

Lid's job is listed as Airship Tech. A 3-5★ story character, Lid is obtained after clearing Galebreak in the Dirnado region (during Chapter II). Her roles are Physical Damage and Support. She has no particular element or status resistances. As a story character, she has no Trust Master reward.

She can be an offensive unit or a support one, however her attacks have very low modifiers and her strongest damage abilities are locked behind a random selection. Her buffs are also quite basic, and her stats are also very low, making her frail. Overall she is the weakest of the main characters.

Depending on her rarity, Lid has two (3★), three (4★) or four (5★) ability slots. She has affinity to Green Magic (Lvl 1-3).

Ability Awakening

Lid has two traits that can be enhanced:

• Upgrade normally increase Lid's ATK (80%, max 160%) for the next normal attack, while also increase the damage the user takes by 50%. Upon awakening, Upgrade+1 raises its value increasing effect to (160%, max 320%). Upgrade+2 drops the self-damaging effect. It requires Support crysts as materials.
• By default, Invention is a randomized ability that may have any of the following effects: "Power Generator" (20%), which deals Fire-elemental physical damage to all enemies; "Laser Cannon" (25%), which deals Lightning-elemental physical damage to all enemies; "Blastshot" (25%), which deals physical damage to all enemies; and "Failure" (30%), which does nothing. Invention+1 changes the abilities' names and chances, and their damage output is increased. Invention+2 also adds the single-target "Running Fire" as a possible effect. It requires Power crysts as materials.

Limit Burst

Lid's Limit Burst receives three different names, depending on her rarity: Mecha Chocobo Assault (メカチョコボ突撃！, Mekachokobo Totsugeki!?), Mecha Friends (メカボ＆メカモーグリ, Mekabo & Mekamōguri?, lit. Mechabo & Mechamoogle), and Mechanical Parade (メカニカルパレード☆, Mekanikaru Parēdo☆?). It is a damage-type ability that deals physical damage to all enemies. Depending on her Lid's rarity, it consists of two (3★), four (4★) or five (5★) hits.

Its modifier will depend on Lid's LB level:

Black Cat Lid[]

Black Cat Lid is a limited-time 3-6★ Rare Summon available during the Global-exclusive events Night of the Pumpkin and Return to the Halloween Castle. Her job is listed as Tech Mage, and her roles are Physical Damage and Support. She has innate resistance to the element Lightning and the Confuse ailment (both +25%), while her passive traits give her immunity to Poison and Paralyze. She has a Trust Master reward, the Cat Hat, a hat that provides (MP+25, DEF+15, MAG+20, SPR+20) and nullifies Silence.

Most of her skillset is not much different from that of her original version, however she learns new unique abilities like Hex Strike that allows her to inflict status ailments, Weakening Strike to decrease elemental resistance and Ultimate Blow, a powerful physical finisher. Her passive boosts are also decent and grant her boosts to HP, DEF and even status ailment immunities. All these traits can be enhanced further to be much more powerful, including Ultimate Blow, and is very strong against Demon, Undead and Machine enemies. She also learns Dualcast and the likes of Barthundaga, Shellga and Protectga. Although not overly powerful this can make her more utilitarian if paired with an adequate esper.

Limit Burst

Black Cat Lid's Limit Burst receives three different names, depending on her rarity: Mecha Chocobo Assault, Mecha Friends, and Mechanical Parade. It is extremely similar to her story variant's Limit Burst, as it is a physical damage attack that affects all enemies. Depending on her rarity, it consists of two (3★), four (4★) or five (5-6★) hits.

SummerLid[]

Summer Lid (常夏のリド, Tokonatsu no Rido?, lit. Everlasting Summer's Lid) is a 3-5★ Rare Summon, who job is listed as Airship Tech and her roles are Physical Damage and Support. She has no particular status resistances, but has a 15% innate resistance to Water. She has a Trust Master reward: Lid's Swimsuit, female-only clothes that give a stat increase (DEF+15, MAG+30, SPR+30) and resistance to Water (+20%).

Summer Lid is not very different from her original version. She has Water-related abilities and can also inflict Charm on enemies, although with a very low chance. All in all, this version is very weak as well.

Lid's Summer Special (リドサマースペシャル★, Rido Samā Supesharu★?, lit. Lid Summer Special★) is Summer Lid's Limit Burst. A damage-type ability, it is a Water-elemental physical attack that targets all enemies. Depending on Lid's rarity, it consists of two (3★), four (4★) or five (5★) hits.

Hunter Lid[]

Hunter Lid (ハンターレイン, Hantā Rido?) is a limited-time 3-5★ Rare Summon, obtainable during the collaboration event with Monster Hunter Explore. Hunter Lid's job is listed as (ハンター, Hantā?, lit. Hunter). She is currently available only in the JP version.

Artisan Lid[]

Artisan Lid is a 4-5★ unit that was given to all Paris Fan Festa 2017 attendees, and which was obtainbale as a Login Bonus during the game's second anniversary celebrations. Her job is listed as Artisan, her role is that of Support. She has a Trust Master reward: the Artisan Beret (DEF+14, MP +5%, SPR +20%).

Heavenly Technician Lid[]

Heavenly Technician Lid (星虹の技師リド, Seikō no Gishi Rido?, lit. Rainbow Star Technician Lid) is Lid's variant for Season Two. A 5-7★ Rare Summon, she has been available since the story event The Phantom Blueprint. Her job is listed as Airship Tech and her role is Support. She has no innate element or status ailment resistances. Her Trust Master reward is the Invigorator accessory, which grants (MP+35, DEF+10) and the passive Energy Circulator (which allows the equipped unit to recover HP and 10% MP, and fills 2 burst stones per turn). Her Super Trust Master reward is her Mechabo Hammer.

Heavenly Technician Lid is mostly a debuffer who can also inflict damage. In fact, she is one of the most powerful debuffers in the game being capable of inflicting stat decreases of ATK/MAG or DEF/SPR to all enemies by 50%. She can otherwise focus on a single stat decrease of 60% and augment her own by 120%, essentially "stealing" enemies strength. She can also bestow her LB gauge onto others, prevent stat breaks and even remove Charm, giving her ample support abilities. She can inflict damage but her abilities are locked behind random based abilities; however, Lid is rarely used as a damage dealer. Although her passive stat boosts are not overly strong, she has decent HP, DEF and SPR, and her overall base stats are higher than any of her variants, allowing her to hold on her own.

Limit Burst

Mechabo Custom Hammer (メカボハンマーカスタム, Mekabo Hanmā Kasutamu?, lit. Mechabo Hammer Custom) is Heavenly Technician Lid's Limit Burst. As one of the so-called "CG units", Lid's Limit Burst is a powerful ability preceded by FMV-like movie that is about 0:06 seconds long. In it, Lid smiles and winks before making a signal for Mechabo to transform. When he is done, Lid grabs the hammer's handle and, propelled by its turbine, she hits the enemy, after which Mechabo returns to his chocobo form.

It is a 1-hit attack that deals physical damage to all enemies, and has Full Break effect: it reduces all enemies' stats (ATK, DEF, MAG, SPR) for two turns. When maxed, it is one of the game's most powerful breaks, although it also has a high cost and short duration. While extremely strong, it may not be easily spammable, even with gear that supports the generation of burst stones.
