Gorgon is an enemy in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. It has three phases. After losing some health its horns and fangs are cleaved off, and eventually has portions of its back sliced off.

Etymology[]
In Greek mythology, the Gorgon was a terrifying female creature who had hair of living, venomous snakes, and a horrifying visage that turned those who beheld it to stone, the most famous being Medusa. However, due to it being a four-legged creature, its namesake is closer to the creature of the same name in Libyan mythology found in The History of Four-Footed Beasts written by Edward Topsell in 1607.
