Restores MP by 100
Description
Ether is a restorative item in Final Fantasy VII that restores 100 MP to one target (50 MP in a demo version). An upgraded Ether is known as Turbo Ether. When used on an undead target, Ether will damage their MP by 100 instead.

Use[]
Ethers are used primarily to heal MP of magic users. This, in turn, can help those who cast spells for healing HP or curing statuses, or those who cast spells for damage.
Ethers can be used in battle and outside of battle from the menu. It can be used via W-Item and thus is also easily duplicated.
If the player is not pressed for healing MP for a portion of the game, a great use of Ethers is through selling them at shops. Selling for 750 gil a piece, they are the biggest way of making lots of gil early on, allowing the player to buy supplies without much grinding. The earliest the player can obtain the Ether is from the Mono Drive, which can be fought at the Train Graveyard before leaving for the No. 5 Reactor.
A programming error has the party obtain "Tinctures" after a Condor War battle, however, these Tinctures are really Ethers.
Once the player gains Magic Hammer, this tends to be the superior way of replenishing MP over using items.
