Tostarenans are small, skeletal characters that appear in Super Mario Odyssey. They inhabit the Tostarena region of the Sand Kingdom, and normally sport sombreros and ponchos. They can also be seen holding maracas. They usually come in two variants; the smaller and stouter blue ones and the taller, thinner green ones.

Wario Land: Hunt For The Ring[]
Tostarenans appear as enemies Wario can encounter in Wario Land: Hunt For The Ring. In the game, they hear about Wario causing mischief throughout the Sand Kingdom, and do everything in their power to stop him. In this game, blue Tostarenans will try and rush down Wario, while green Tostarenans will bounce towards him.
A notable Tostarenan, Il Skeleto, also appears in this game.
The Broodal Story[]
Tostarenans also appear as enemies the Broodals can encounter in The Broodal Story. If they are attacked, they will collapse into a pile of bones, but will quickly rebuild themselves back up, similar to a Dry Bones.
