Capture is considered to be Fukuro's Magic |

Hey, pulled up a lot of discussions this month ;_;. So why is Absorption Magic a thing ? I mean obviously it is a Magic that allows you to absorb and "digest" the Magics of the people you...eat, but I am not here to question the obscure logic that is that, my question is why did we make up an unnamed Magic, and considered all of these as just spells ? My point is why not making Capture the Magic itself ? moving Absorption Magic's description to it and make it the official Magic as it does have Kanji and make Fire Ho Ho Hou and Fire Dragon's Roar (Fukuro version) the spells ? Plus the descriptions on both Absorption Magic and Capture's are really not that different. As for the name it isn't a problem because we have a lot of other Magics that their names are just one word. Thoughts ?

- Support - It might also prevent confusions with other absorbtion abilities like Franmalth's Revolution. NoNickNeeded (talk) 08:44, June 18, 2016 (UTC)

- Support - Why we went out of our way to create an unnamed Magic for this, instead of simply using the title that Fukuro provided us with (source material) is beyond me. This has been ignored for far too long btw, fml... Wonder Talk ★★08:49,6/29/2016
- Oppose
- Oppose -I think the main issue with this hasn't been exactly examined thoroughly as we might think. While Capture does say that the user "consumes" their target, does it immediately have to refer to the effect of such an act as well? My basic point is that Capture is just the main mechanism by which the user can obtain their powers, i.e. while the Capture is the process of "eating" the target, the Absorption Magic is the aftermath, or possession of the foe's powers in the end. As such, I think it's perfectly reasonable if this remains a spell. It's just the description that needs fixing; shortening, narrowing etc.

- In my point of view, no, Capture is indeed the main mechanism but its all that this Magic is about. It isn't even stated if the fully absorbed Mage will even be still alive, thus literately "eating" him. I mean this Magic is just be Fukuro opening his mouth, eating people, gaining their powers ! the other spells are just the moves he uses with the gained Magic. Same how similar to Magical Drain, while there you just have to "touch" the Mage, but why didn't we make a spell for the touching ? because that is just a normal thing ! (also would be stupid if we did that X3) While here, you extend your mouth and stomach so you fully swallow a grown up man - or a teenager to be precise -. Another way of looking at this, yet completely speculative, is that this isn't even a Magic but just an ability that Fukuro can use because he is an owl-man and I thought of adding it because why not ?
- All what I am saying is if their is only one spell that is legitimately all there is about the Magic, then it is the Magic itself, considering that Fire Ho and FD'Roar are spells of Natsu's Magic that he gained HamodyAsgail 23:14, June 18, 2016 (UTC)
Spells[]
Shouldn't the spells listed here be Fire Dragon Slayer Magic spells instead of Capture spells? --Neffyarious (talk) 16:58, January 8, 2019 (UTC)
After double checking i think it should since looking at Sandstorm page, kurohebi used mimic to copy sandstorm and even used spells related to it but it was never listed in the mimic page. I'm gonna go ahead and change them since it wont take to long to change it anyway. lol LightningGeist 17:44, January 8, 2019 (UTC)
