The amulet is stated to have a powerful protective ability, strong enough to preserve the life of its host from any physical damage, such as walking through and nearly sinking into a pit of lava. The pain however from whatever damage taken still remains and bruises are still effective, therefore leaving only the user's mental durability and stamina to withstand it.[2][3]
