Chapter 155

Last Man is the 155th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail

The battle between Erza and Midnight Continues. Erza than reveals to know Midnight's Magic. After Erza defeats Midnight, he reveals his prayer and falls unconscious.

Summary[]

Erza and Jellal continue their fight against the last general of the Oración Seis: Midnight. However Midnight keeps on deflecting any and every attack Erza uses against him and Jellal is already beaten. Erza finally figures out two weaknesses in Midnight's powers: one: he can refract armor and weapons, but not human bodies; two: he can only refract objects one at a time. In her flexible armor, the Robe of Yūen, Erza finally manages to attack Midnight, by attacking him with multiple swords while he attempts to crush her in her armor, rendering Midnight incapable of deflecting the barrage of swords. She then explains that the armor itself is "flexible" and hence immune to Midnight's powers and breaks free of her confines.

Erza is about to defeat Midnight when a clock in the Ancient City atop Nirvana begins chiming, signifying the beginning of midnight. Midnight then begins laughing maniacally gloating that his Reflector is taken to the extremes at midnight. He then begins transforming into a hideous beast and attacks Jellal and Erza. He tortures them both physically and emotionally, and is about to kill them when suddenly, Erza realizes and breaks free from the illusion using her artificial eye. She then swiftly defeats Midnight, who releases his prayer, and falls unconscious, despairing about his defeat.
