Trivia

  • This is Big Daddy's first appearance.
  • Just like how Wanda's mother-in-law, Mama Cosma doesn’t approve her son's wife, Big Daddy doesn’t approve his daughter's husband (Cosmo). This would be pointed out in Big Wanda when Mama Cosma kidnaps Big Daddy, who goes along with the plan for the same reason.
  • Apparently Wanda doesn't let Cosmo or Timmy do anything that is fun or easy, so they ignore her a lot, even her warnings.
  • Apparently you are not supposed to just poof the garbage away because it creates stinky magic (the magic is left surrounding the garbage bag after it gets poofed away and as it decomposes, so does the magic around it).
  • When a egg falls on Timmy’s head he says “Ahhh Man Egg! It’s bad for my psyche but good for my hair” Eggs are very good for hair treatment.

Allusions

  • The Godfather - When Big Daddy says "Sleep with the fishes", it's a reference to a memorable quote from this iconic 1972 movie.
  • Goodfellas - When Big Daddy first appears, he asks Binky "Am I funny like a clown, do i amuse you?" which is one of Tommy DeVito's most famous quotes.
  • Talkin' Trash - The title is a reference to the idiom. In this case, "talking trash" means is to insult someone.
  • Bada Bing! - Right before the scene where Big Daddy forces Wanda to pack her things and leave, the poof cloud says "Bada Bing!" The phrase "bada bing" is not only a stereotypical gangster exclamation, it's also the name of a fictional strip club from the TV series The Sopranos. Tony Sirico, Big Daddy's voice actor, is known for portraying the main role of Paulie "Walnuts" Gualtieri on that show.

Running Gags

  • People making comments or statements about or relating to man eggs.
  • Characters keep mentioning the real-life band Hootie and the Blowfish.

Quotes

Evil Phone: The number you are trying to reach is trying to kill you! (Timmy wacks the phone into the swirling vortex)

Timmy Turner: [with an angry expression on his face to Wanda] Do you always have to be right?
