"No One Sleep In Tokyo" is a song by Maurizio De Jorio and Fernando Bonini under the alias Edo Boys, being the first under the alias. Produced in 1998, the song made its first appearance in the anime adaptation of Initial D First Stage on April 18, 1998; before being released in the soundtrack album "Super Eurobeat Presents Initial D ~D Selection~" on July 29, and in a vinyl maxi-single released by Delta on the same year. It was written by Andrea Leonardi, composed by him with Andrea Panigada, and produced by Leonardi under his alias Bratt Sinclaire.
The song was also released together with "Take Me Baby" by Mickey B., "Make Up Your Mind" by Wain L. and "Don't Stand So Close" by Dr. Love in a promotional vinyl maxi-release of "Super Eurobeat Presents Initial D Super Euro-Best" released by Avex Trax and Avex Mode on 2000.
The song was originally made as a Hyper Techno song, this one performed by Edoardo Arlenghi under the alias Cool M.F. This one was first released in the "Super Dance Freak Vol. 66" on July 23, 1998; and later included in the vinyl single of the Eurobeat version released that year. This version was later retitled as "No One Sleep In Tokyo (Techno Mix)".
Due to Leonardi's dismissal from Delta, since 2008 the song's license has been transferred to SinclaireStyle together with many other songs produced and/or written by Andrea Leonardi at Delta.
Lyrics[]
[Intro]
(4, 3, 2, 1)
No One Sleep In Tokyo!
All night crossing the line
No one quit the radio
Tokyo is on fire!
[Verse 1]
Even if you say "I have been on world wide"
I'll take you where surely you have never been
All right in the fight, I'm OK, come on!
Come on!
[Pre-Chorus]
Hey, do you feel the night it's breathable?
Look at this town which is unbelievable
No other places like that in the world, world, world!
(1, 2, 3, 4)
[Chorus - Repeat Twice]
No One Sleep In Tokyo!
All night crossing the line
No one quit the radio
Tokyo is on fire
[Verse 2]
Turning to the left, easy chicks and red lights
And to the right, crazy music everywhere
All right in the fight, I'm OK, come on!
Come on!
