langa í

  1. to want, to feel like.
    Mig langar í hest!
    I want a horse!
    Langar þig í hest?
    Do you want a horse?
  2. To have a hankering for.

  • The person who wants something is in the accusative case and the verb is conjugated in the third-person singular. When you're referring to an object you want the verb langa í is used. When you want to perform a verb the verb langa is used.
