[edit]would have greatly appreciated a section/paragraph on etymology ... 86.59.11.23 19:15, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
wouldn't it be better to say: "a format carrying information"? and, btw, what does information imply? What medium is the context?
What exactly meaning is used in medium rare ? --Backinstadiums (talk) 17:36, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- Adverb: "to a medium extent". Not fully rare, but somewhat. Equinox ◑ 17:50, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Some senses only take one plural, e.g. two medium coffees cannot be ordered as "two media please". We need to explain this. Equinox ◑ 15:51, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Good point; I'd say go ahead.JonRichfield (talk) 18:50, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- The plural "media" is already not listed for the senses grouped under the nominalized noun heading: "Noun[edit] medium (countable and uncountable, plural mediums) (nominalized) (uncountable, especially clothing, food or drink) One of several common sizes to which an item may be manufactured. (countable, especially clothing, food or drink) An item labelled or denoted as being that size."--Urszag (talk) 01:34, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
