矸 |
---|
Possibly a variant of 丹 (OC *taːn) (Schuessler, 2007). Both 丹 and 矸 may theoretically be borrowed from a foreign word *klan. He further suggests a Kam-Tai origin, comparing it to Proto-Kam-Sui *h-lanꟲ (“red”), but see 丹 (OC *taːn) for more.
