Talk:Jutland
Jutland, the German parts
[edit]Hi. This article only deals with the Danish parts of the Jutland peninsula. I believe it should be stated explicitly in the article's title, by naming it "Jutland (Denmark)" for example, or we should include the Schleswig-Holstein region as well. RhinoMind (talk) 11:36, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
Region articles
[edit]Region articles should not have detailed listings for points of interest, restaurants, shops, or hotels. Wikivoyage:Region article template says:
- "Individual listings should be placed at the lowest available level of local page (a district of a huge city or the city page for a small town)."
- "points of interest (such as those mentioned in "See" sections) should not usually have markers in region articles but should be linked to the bottom-level article where they have full listings."
I have moved the details to the city articles. Please do not add details for other listings here. Ground Zero (talk) 18:03, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi. What does "points of interest (such as those mentioned in "See" sections) ... should be linked to the bottom-level article where they have full listings." even mean? RhinoMind (talk) 22:33, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- @RhinoMind: the details about hikes don't belong in a high level region article. They should be moved to the articles of cities nearest where the hikes start. If you want to write a general paragraph about hiking in Jutland, that would be useful here, and in keeping with Wikivoyage style. Ground Zero (talk) 22:19, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- But then no one will find them. I have only included top-tier stuff on the Jutland page. On sub-sub-sub pages you can find all kinds of stuff, including low quality bottom-tier stuff. How do we emphasize top-tier stuff relevant for the Jutland region as a whole? when I work on Wikivoyage, I care about relevance and usability first and foremost, otherwise it's just... yeah, useless and irrelevant. RhinoMind (talk) 22:37, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- Also, how does hikes like "Nordsøstien", "Hærvejen", and others even fit on sub-pages? I can't even imagine that. RhinoMind (talk) 22:39, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
