Auray is a town in Brittany, France.

Auray is an enchanting medieval town crossed by the western banks of its river, which flows into the Gulf of Morbihan. It is most famous as the location of the last battle that took place in 1364, marking the beginning of the end for the Breton War of Succession.

Auray railway station is served by high speed train services between Paris, Rennes and Quimper, long distance services between Quimper, Nantes and Bordeaux. Regional services call at all stations between Quimper, Lorient, Vannes (and Rennes). During the summer months a train service operates from Auray to Carnac and Quiberon. This is operated by buses during other months.

The N165 road connects Brest, Quimper, Lorient, Auray, Vannes and Nantes. Auray can be reached from Paris by the A10 then A11 to Le Mans, then A81 towards Rennes and then the N24 and N166 to Vannes.

The nearest airports are at Lorient, Rennes and Nantes.
