Keep the German encyclopedia has a sourced article. The wolf is notable, as is the event of a man-eating wolf in 17th century Principality of Ansbach. Moreover, as article states, this wolf has also accumulated notability vial retellings. I'm going here on the German sourcing, not the source that Nom found in English version. 17th century history in an important city like Ansbach is solid and well-documented.
