Using change comments to attack other editors
[edit]You made a derogatory comment regarding this edit. TEDickey (talk) 21:53, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Tedickey: ...Dude...
- Here's my edit. My comment was:
A general shell scripting book definitely shouldn't be listed as further reading. Maybe it was added by an Apress employee
- Doesn't sound like an attack to me. Regardless, that addition was completely non-notable to the point of being very suspicious. There are literally (tens of?) thousands of books on shell coding, and that one doesn't seem to be Almquist shell-specific. I was on my phone and couldn't use WikiBlame et al., so I wanted to save it for later.
- A very experienced editor thanked me for that change. Risc64 (talk) 20:40, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for December 22
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Tonystewart14 (talk) 15:03, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Media Extension Unit has been merged
[edit]Hello. I've merged an article you've created (Media Extension Unit) to Ingenic Semiconductor because it fails to meet the criteria given by WP:Notability. Two of the citations are to primary sources, another is to community content, which does pass WP:RS. My attempts to find non-trivial reliable, third-party sources failed. 50504F (talk) 07:33, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
