Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Raachelc, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Your draft
[edit]Hi. I moved your draft back to your sandbox - it isn't ready for mainspace.
- Wikipedia articles are supposed to have a lead section, not an introduction. It should summarize all the major points of the article, in a succinct fashion. The first line should start with the article title, something like
Article title is...
The opening line have enough information that a reader who reads no further into the article than this will still leave with a sense of what the article is about. The remainder of the lead needs to summarize the rest of the article. All the main points should be there, and there shouldn't be anything in the lead that's not in the body of the article. The Editing Wikipedia brochure, which I have linked, gives a lot more information about layout, and includes a checklist that you need to go through before moving your article to mainspace. Article title capitalization, for example, is important.
- Wikipedia articles are supposed to be about single things. You spend a long time talking about functional medicine - Wikipedia has an article on that topic, and information that's about functional medicine should be added to that article and referenced from this one. Similarly, general information about birth control shouldn't be here - stick to the specific applications of these topics to this one.
- Remember that there are special standards for medical topics on Wikipedia. WP:MEDRS outlines a lot of these - you might want to look at it to give yourself a refresher about the requirements.
Please get in touch with me if you need additional assistance. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 22:39, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
- Please stop moving your draft to mainspace - it is not suitable for mainspace. Please address the issues I raised above. This is not ok. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 00:14, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
The article Seed Cycling has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Lack of coverage in independent reliable sources
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Boghog (talk) 19:12, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
Nomination of Seed cycling for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Seed cycling is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Seed cycling until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Guy (Help!) 14:32, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
