Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "PotassiBot", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because The suffix -bot in user names is usually reserved for bot accounts. You should probably get your user name changed to avoid confusion.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 21:11, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your Conduct

[edit]

Reporting you to an administrator. You continually keep vandalising an article. It seems your intent is to attack the Amanda Eliasch article. 172.56.18.67 (talk) 23:07, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Amanda Eliasch. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. I don't know, or particularly care what your beef with Ms. Eliasch is, but don't bring it onto Wikipedia. There are quite a few editors who have this article on their watch list, so this kind of obviously disruptive editing is not going to fly. Please save yourself and everybody else a lot of unnecessary aggravation and drop the stick. Ad Orientem (talk) 23:28, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

Hello, PotassiBot, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. My name is Howicus, and I've been an editor here for some time. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

If you're working on creating a new article, this page has instructions on how to cite sources, complete with videos.

If all this Wikicode is a little overwhelming, WP:Cheatsheet may help untangle it.

If you're looking for a tutorial of sorts, The Wikipedia Adventure is a good option.

And if you need more help, I'd recommend getting live help at the Wikipedia help chat channel (click "connect" to join): #wikipedia-en-help connect. Additionally, you could ask me on my talk page, try the Teahouse (a help page for new users) or click here to ask for help here on your talk page and a volunteer will visit you here shortly

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Again, welcome, and have fun editing! Howicus (Did I mess up?) 01:16, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your user name

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "PotassiBot", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because user names ending in "bot" are forbidden, except for actual bots (computer programs) operating on Wikipedia, since such names can cause confusion. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Deor (talk) 23:52, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Amanda Eliasch. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Ad Orientem (talk) 23:57, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Amanda Eliasch. Stop your disruptive editing. You have been repeatedly warned and yet you continue to press on with your vendetta against this person. I really don't like sending editors to ANI but your abusive edit warring has gone on long enough. If you don't want to get blocked I suggest you drop the stick and walk away from this. Ad Orientem (talk) 02:13, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, PotassiBot, contains the suffix "-bot", which is generally reserved for authorized bot accounts

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 02:22, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
