Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Labor disputes in Albania
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Labor disputes in Albania indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. AusLondonder (talk) 20:08, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

Hello, LoomCreek,
Typically categories like the ones you created are an integral part of an active WikiProject. But I don't see a relevant WikiProject here. Before I tag them as CSD C1 empty categories, is there a WikiProject page that is for some reason unmentioned on this page? And, from experience, one editor, no matter how enthusiastic, can not carry an entire WikiProject. They require a lot of time and effort to establish. Liz Read! Talk! 23:38, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- I can't help but notice from your User talk page that over the past few weeks, you have had over two dozen categories on this subject deleted. This does not bode well for any similarly themed WikiProject. Liz Read! Talk! 23:41, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- That was an effort to classify labor disputes by country as a lot were unlabeled at the time. Because of the sheer number (I classified I think +40 labor disputes by country) that were unclassified. I did that sometime last year and some of the categories just became unpopulated. I'm sorry if that became a headache, I did definitely make a mistake subdividing the historical British isles into each country. LoomCreek (talk) 23:45, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- There is a wikiproject, WikiProject Housing and Tenant Rights
- I've been reaching out to people over the past several months and do have a couple others willing to join. It's also more of an expansion of an existing group of editors, to be more usable then Wikipedia:WikiProject New York City/Housing and Tenant Rights Task Force because of how it restricts what can be researched despite the shared history across a lot of different geographic spaces. - LoomCreek (talk) 23:42, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- (also I have tendency to phrase things badly, It came off as rude. Sorry I really didnt mean to be, I'm just not great at conveying tone when i'm writing) LoomCreek (talk) 00:00, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- I'm happy there's a wikiproject for tenants rights now. I have been creating pages on the topic for the past year because I also noticed a big gap. I'm glad there are other editors interested in expanding coverage! Catboy69 (talk) 15:41, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- I'm glad to hear you're excited for it as well! I've been really happy with the enthusiastic responses by people so far, I think it's really cool :) The exploration of the different sources/history and how they connect has also been really really fun.
- Feel free to add your name! WikiProject Housing and Tenant Rights :) - LoomCreek (talk) 16:55, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, LoomCreek,
- You still have over a dozen empty categories associated with this WikiProject that keep showing up on our Empty Categories list as categories that need to be tagged for speedy deletion, CSD C1. Could you please place this tag on the empty ones, {{emptycat}}? This keep them off the list and keep them from being tagged for deletion. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:40, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Liz Yes, very sorry ill make sure to go through them all today LoomCreek (talk) 13:42, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Alright done! @Liz - LoomCreek (talk) 17:06, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

- I apologize I was not trying to violate copyright, I was trying to take research notes to organize my thoughts to comprehensively understand the topic, that not an appropriate way to approach it. Ill be much more careful in the future. LoomCreek (talk) 03:35, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Diannaa Could you please reverse the removal of portions from
- 1927, The Americanization of Labor. The Employers' Offensive Against the Trade Unions. With an Introd. by S. Nearing?
- It was published in 1927 and as such it's completely public domain and freely available to use to take notes, even in whole (although I most definitely don't plan to do that for the page, I was just trying to organize and understand information around the event before I properly wrote it up). LoomCreek (talk) 04:00, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have restored the content. Sorry for the mistake. In the future, please add attribution when copying from public domain sources: simply add the template
{{source-attribution}}
as part of your citation. I have done so for this draft. Please do this in the future so that our readers will be aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself, and that it's okay to copy verbatim. These copyright rules apply even in sandboxes and drafts. Thanks, -- Diannaa (talk) 12:50, 16 October 2024 (UTC)- @Diannaa okay thank u so much! and yeah I'm sorry ill be more careful in the future. LoomCreek (talk) 13:28, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Diannaa Hi again, I checked the re-added content and i notice its missing a big chunk of the notes from Americanization of labor.
- I think, All the verbatim addition edits before october 15, (i.e october 9th and backward) should all be sourced from that public domain book. LoomCreek (talk) 01:10, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- you van view thge overlap with the thesis using Earwig's tool. -- Diannaa (talk) 01:46, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Diannaa okay, then i think ill just try my best to go back through the Americanization and do my best to re-add the notes that are missing (edit: Nvm!! I understand what u mean now thank u very much @Diannaa) LoomCreek (talk) 02:08, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Diannaa Okay i recovered the bits i was missing. Thanks so much! I really appreciated the patience LoomCreek (talk) 02:24, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: File:KC Tenants Logo.jpg
[edit]Hello LoomCreek, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of File:KC Tenants Logo.jpg, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not elegigle for speedy deletion as the other image is in a different file format. . You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 15:24, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Apologies, and of course! I re-reviewed the criteria and found an appropriate classification for speedy deletion now, I was just unsure how to convey it. As a non free use file, since a better replacement is now being used It should meet the criteria, I just classified it wrong. - LoomCreek (talk) 15:28, 18 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello LoomCreek, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of File:KC Tenants Logo.jpg, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not eligible for immediate F5 as article is not deleted. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 15:27, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
Like messages above state, please read and understand the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging. -- Whpq (talk) 15:31, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, apologies. - LoomCreek (talk) 15:38, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
Stop monkeying around with the JPG version of the logo like you did here. This is not helpful. The file is already tagged for deletion if it remains unused. But if there is an objection, and the file is in use again, then it is useful to have the non-free usage rationale be correct. Removing the article from the NFUR is not helpful. -- Whpq (talk) 15:38, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, I wasn't trying to add any more work, I apologize. I was just trying to do my due diligence since a better replacement was already in use. I will simply let it be- LoomCreek (talk) 15:39, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
