User talk:Fragrant Peony/Archive 4
Hi Fragrant Peony, thanks for reverting the edits made by this user, and for warning them. In general, though, please make sure not to escalate the warning level unless the user has actually continued the behavior after the previous warning level. Disruption-only accounts can be blocked early, and you can skip warning levels when dealing with them (L2, L4, AIV report), but placing multiple warning levels for the same edit series is rather pointless. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:36, 10 September 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for making a report about 203.153.99.221 (talk · contribs · block log) at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. I see you have repeated this a few times with users, mostly IP editors, not receiving a full set of warnings. In some cases they only have a level one warning by another user before you reported them. DatGuyTalkContribs 08:23, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, noted! I have seen they have multiple disruptive editing warnings on their talk page, so thought they are deliberately corrupting several pages. Fragrant Peony (talk) 08:38, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
Reverted edit
[edit]Hello, I was hoping to know why my edit on the Naoum Shebib page was reverted. I provided sources for his Greek-Catholic beliefs, and the sources for his being Jewish are not at all satisfactory. The first two both rely on a tweet by the Israeli government (which does not provide any evidence to support its claim), while the third does not at all mention the topic beyond the title. Shebib is a relative, and I am trying to find more concrete evidence to add to the page to support my position. Beologi (talk) 17:44, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
N18 (South Africa) edit
[edit]Hi there. I understand that I misspelt the word "streets" but what else was wrong with my edit? I am trying to make it consistent with other South African Road Articles. GeographicAccountant (talk) 17:11, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
Mischief night
[edit]Hi. You undid my change to Mischief night. I simply referenced additional content that was already cited by the source on the page, so no new source is necessary. In fact, when I was about to add my source I saw that the source was already added by someone else. So for now I will reinstate the edit. San104567 (talk) 20:33, 30 October 2022 (UTC)
Question Hour
[edit]Did you look at my edit, or did you just hit "revert" without looking? I said The whole subsection is sourced to a blog. Please read WP:ELNO. Blogs aren't even appropriate as external links, and they definitely aren't appropriate as references. Please inform yourself before reverting people for egregiously wrong reasons. I have requested administrative intervention to enforce WP:ELNO and the provisions of WP:RW. 175.39.61.121 (talk) 10:26, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- As your edit summary stated, "Unexplained content removal? Did you even read my edit summary?", so it appeared as a disruptive edit on the recent changes page. Every time you make an edit, please write a detailed summary. Thank you. Fragrant Peony (talk) 10:32, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- A more appropriate response would be "You're right, I'm sorry -- I should have looked more carefully." --JBL (talk) 20:31, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
