Bold fonts

[edit]

I happen to find the bolded text easier to read -- it's important to be able to find the school names quickly amid the sea of schools and arenas. Powers T 19:50, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I strongly disagree that bold font makes it easier to read. Templates should be simple as possible, not cluttered with bold font nor images. Previous discussion located at Category talk:Ice hockey navigational boxes. Flibirigit (talk) 20:39, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Simplicity is secondary to readability and usability in my opinion. I've brought up the topic at the category talk page. Powers T 23:06, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Layout errors?

[edit]

On another note, I'm getting layout errors when this navbox is displayed. For example (and this changes depending on where it's displayed), I'm getting all the schools and arenas through Canisius on the first line, with "State Sports Arena)" extending past the right edge of the box. On the second line, I get all the rest, with "Pavilion)" extending past the right edge. I've seen it with Sacred Heart on the last line and "(Frank Ritter Memorial Ice Arena)" extending past the edge, as well. Anyone else getting this? Powers T 23:06, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mascots

[edit]

I would prefer that the template revert to emphasize the school rather than the mascot, "Air Force" rather than "Falcons." This is pretty much standard thoughout most sports templates. Arena names seem fussy to me and unnecessary. Why are they so important? Add my name, too, to the list of people who would rather follow WP:MOS and reserve boldfacing for article titles.
