Proposed move

[edit]

I am proposing that this HMAS Diamantina be moved from its current date-qualifier to a pennant-qualifier. As I understand it it is convention to disambiguate ships bu pennant if possible. Diamantina has four pennants, but the "K***" pennants are the best known for ships of her class.

Please comment below if you oppose the merge, or wish to suggest an alternate target. -- saberwyn 01:27, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There was no opposition after 13 days, so I've move the page. —Mets501 (talk) 16:15, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Motto

[edit]

I have noticed that the motto for the ships badge that appears on this page, and most others on the web, is in fact the motto for HMAS Diamantina II. The motto of the frigate Diamantina was in fact "Hic Regit Ille Teutur". 23Feb76 (talk) 12:28, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
