Other resources

[edit]

The number of utilized processors should also be considered as an important candidate for a computational resource. Operations that can be done in parallel can reduce both time and space while increasing the number of processors required. On average, 2.8 million e-mails are sent per second. This would not be possible using a single processor.

Communication bandwidth should also be considered an important resource. From network bandwidth to memory buses, a process that uses fewer of these resources leaves more for another.
