Malpractice Case

[edit]

This really needs to be put on the 36th Wing's page. if at all.. I'm not sure if it's notible.

If every time an airman gets an article 15, or an officer gets dismissed from the air force, it is going to be put on the bases page? I think not.. This isn't to demean the plaintiff, who I am sure suffered badly and was awarded the damages, but it's more of an individual item, than a millitary one. I'll await some kind of concensus before moving that paragagph over to the Wing's page Bwmoll3 (talk) 04:23, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it's probably not notable. I cut out the details, but I left the rest in because I didn't know what else to do with it, and I wanted to give it a chance for discussion. Moving it to the 36th Wing's page sounds good to me, but we should see if there are any other thoughts. - BillCJ (talk) 04:51, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Without the details it's even less notable. I don't think it belongs here and frankly was quite surprised when I saw this page and saw this item. A debate can be made as to whether it belongs on the 36th Wing's page, but certainly doesn't belong on the Andersen page. Herefordnuthouse (talk) 20:25, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This concerns your Andersen Air Force Base page. I was stationed there with a support squadron in 1963-1964. I saw B-52's that were stationed there and they took off and landed almost daily. The base went on red alert the day that President Kennedy was shot.Gbcliff (talk) 02:40, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

54th Weather Sqd.

[edit]

54th was on Anderson flying WB50's when I arrived there in Feb.1958. I was in the 41st FIS and the 54 had the other end of our barracks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.6.240.255 (talk) 19:36, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinate Discrepancy between title and infobox

[edit]

The title coordinates vary slightly from the infoxbox coordinates; by 18 seconds to be precise. Should I simply remove one of them, or is there a reason for the differing values? AbstrConcept (talk) 18:50, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Northwest Field (abandoned)

[edit]

Anyone looking at GUAM on Google Earth will see Andresen Airbase "Northfield" runways as well as the (abandoned Boeing B29) USAAF Northwest runways. I think the article deserves a separate paragraph (section) dedicated to the two installations history and abandonment of Northwest. The Northwest Field has a separate Wikipedia entry, but it surely deserves a clear and definite reference and obvious pointer to the related Wiki entry, the current reference here, gets rather lost in the mush. It took me quite a while to understand the lay of the land and history of the USAF installations in North Guam. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.151.204.127 (talk) 11:45, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

State of the Union address

[edit]

What is the relevance of the Russian planes circling the islands "mere hours prior to President Obama's State of the Union Address"? It might also have coincided with elections in Spain or an eclipse of the sun - there is no connection between the events. 122.59.212.133 (talk) 06:56, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Close Proximity" to Farallon de Medinilla Island
