Maurizio Serra (born 3 June 1955 in London) is a contemporary Italian writer and diplomat. Maurizio Serra was Italian Ambassador to the Unesco.[1] He writes in Italian and French. He received the Prix Goncourt de la Biographie in 2011 for his book Malaparte, vies et légendes, a biography on Curzio Malaparte.[2] Serra was elected to the Académie Française on 9 January 2020.[3]
His father was Enrico Serra, Italian historian.
