Bleuenn Battistoni (born 1999 Lyon) is a French dancer. She has been a principal dancer of the Paris Opera Ballet , since March 26, 2024.

Life

She entered the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris, at the age of 14. Her good results at the conservatory allowed her to join the École de danse de l'Opéra national de Paris 1 . After three years of training at this establishment, and notable performances at the school's annual show, she was hired by the Ballet de l'Opéra national de Paris in 2017. [1]

In 2022, she was cast in the role of Gamzatti in Rudolf Nureyev's La Bayadère , usually reserved for the stars of the Opera. [2] She replaced at short notice, Alice Renavand when she was injured in the title role of Giselle for her farewell party .[3][4][5]

She was named primary balerina, by José Martinez,[6] on March 26, 2024, after a performance of La Fille mal gardée by Frederick Ashton. She danced the lead role of Lise alongside Marcelino Sambé.[7]
