Domagoj Duvnjak (born 1 June 1988) is a Croatian professional handball player for THW Kiel.[1] Duvnjak is regarded as one of the best handball players of all time alongside fellow Croatian Ivano Balić.[2] On 26 January 2014, he was named the IHF World Player 2013.[1][3]

He became a member of the Croatia national team in 2006.[4] He represented Croatia at the multiple Olympics:[5][6][7] 2008, 2012 (bronze), 2016[8] and 2024.[9] With Croatia, he won nine medals at the European (silver in 2008, 2010, 2020; bronze in 2012, 2016) and World Championships (silver in 2009, 2025; bronze in 2013), as well the Olympic Games (bronze in 2012).[4]

In August 2009, Duvnjak signed a three-year contract with HSV Hamburg worth €2.25 million, including a transfer fee of €1.1 million, making him – at age 21 – the most expensive handball player in history of the sport.[10]

He played for RK Đakovo (2004–06), RK Zagreb (2006–09) and HSV Hamburg (2009–14).[4] Since 2015, he plays for the THW Kiel.[4]
