Today's featured list  Today's featured list is a section included on the Main Page on Mondays and on Fridays, in which an introduction to one of Wikipedia's featured lists is displayed. See this month's queue. The lists appearing on the Main Page are scheduled by the featured list director, currently Giants2008. To be eligible to appear on the Main Page, a list must already be featured. For more information on the featured list promotion process, please see the featured list candidates, as well as the featured list criteria. In addition, a blurb is drafted, introducing the subject of the list. Blurbs are roughly 1,000 characters in length, with no reference tags, alternate names or extraneous boldface type, although a link to the specified featured list should be emboldened; a relevant picture is also usually included with the blurb. The previous three lists that were featured on the Main Page appear along the bottom, in reverse chronological order. You can submit a list to be scheduled at the submissions page. At the moment, lists are scheduled by the featured list director or by the featured list delegates, although we will eventually be devising a community-based system for selecting each day's list. We encourage editors to submit and to review as many blurbs as possible. Winston Churchill was a prolific writer under the variant of his full name 'Winston S. Churchill', in addition to his careers as a soldier and politician. After being commissioned into the 4th Queen's Own Hussars in 1895, Churchill gained permission to observe the Cuban War of Independence, and sent war reports to The Daily Graphic. He continued his war journalism in British India, at the Siege of Malakand, then in the Sudan during the Mahdist War and in southern Africa during the Second Boer War. Churchill's fictional output included one novel and a short story, but his main output comprised non-fiction. Churchill received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953 "for his mastery of historical and biographical description as well as for brilliant oratory in defending exalted human values". The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, a biennial T20I tournament held between men's national cricket teams, organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States from 1 to 29 June 2024. India, captained by Rohit Sharma, (pictured) managed to win their second T20 World Cup title, equalling the West Indies and England in most tournaments won, while also becoming the first team in T20 World Cup history to win the title undefeated throughout the tournament. India previously won the title in 2007, thus breaking the record for the longest time between successive tournament wins (17 years), surpassing the 12 years set by England. Sharma also became the first Indian player to win the T20 World Cup twice, and the first captain to win 50 T20I matches surpassing the record of MS Dhoni, along with many other records and statistics from the 20 nations that participated.
