edit- I propose to take out Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services and its subsections, because they are not law enforcement. Two main reasons:
- No one in the department is a certified police officer within MPCTC guidelines and authorized to conduct law enforcement authority on behalf of the DPSCS (although MPCTC is actually a department within the DPSCS and does certify correctional officers, too).
- If we make them part of the category, we will have to rename the category, "List of Public Safety agencies in Maryland." In which case we will have to include ALL county jails AND fire departments.
- I think that each (police/sheriff, fire, corrections) are notable in themselves and deserve their own category.
- If no one comments, I will omit the DPSCS and its subsections in two weeks. Sallicio (talk) 18:27, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Sallicio
Can someone tell me what the Allegany County Bureau of Police is? I can't find it on the web. If nothing comes up, I will delete it along with the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. Thanks. Sallicio (talk) 19:28, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Sallicio
