Harriet Tubman's Suffragist Activism

edit

Harriet Tubman was a noted attendant at the Second Convention for the National Association of Colored Women held at Quinn Chapel, 24th Street and Wabash Avenue, Chicago, Ill., August 14th, 15th, and 16th, 1899. Listed in the minutes of that Convention on page 22 paragraph 5 is Harriet Tubman's offer of 25 acres of land to be donated to the National Association of Colored Women.

It is better not to use the meeting minutes themselves, since they are a primary source, but I added a mention of her attendance using one of the secondary sources we already had in the article. --RL0919 (talk) 05:26, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

How about adding her to Category:Union militia generals which seems about right for the eventual Maryland National Guard. 2601:644:8581:75B0:0:0:0:2CDE (talk) 04:32, 14 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Unless you have a secondary source that interprets the posthumous appointment in that way, it would be original research. Also, as far as I can tell, none of the current entries in the category is based on a posthumous rank. RL0919 (talk) 03:19, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
