Merely passing through. I pause only to note that this article is essentially completely indecipherable to me. I am British and dislike sports, so virtually all the terms used in this definition convey no meaning to me. It's only defined in terms of other things that need definitions and thus means nothing to someone who doesn't know anything at all about baseball. If one does know about baseball one probably doesn't need this article anyway. What's a base? What's an infielder? And so on. Yes, they're all linked, but to follow all those articles would take me half an hour when all I wanted to know was what the phrase meant. I don't mean to carp but this rather needs expanding...
