Widow Vabdas' Deed is an Imperial Legion quest available to the Nerevarine in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
Objectives[]

Walkthrough[]
Once the Nerevarine has joined the Imperial Legion, General Darius of the Gnisis outpost will ask them to obtain a land deed from the Widow Vabdas, whose husband was killed in the Gnisis Eggmine.
The Widow Vabdas[]
The Nerevarine may find Vabdas in her home to the west of Gnisis. If the Nerevarine talks to her, she will refuse to give them the deed, stating that her husband was murdered by a legionnaire in the Mine and she wants the Nerevarine to find out what happened. At this point the Nerevarine may either steal the deed from her, or investigate her claims.
Murder Investigation[]
The Gnisis Eggmine can be found on the hill on the east side of Gnisis. Outside, they may speak to Vatollia Apo, who will give the Nerevarine a key as they belong to the Legion (assuming that they are wearing Imperial Armor at the time). The Nerevarine must head through the Mine to the scene of the murder, within the Underground Stream area of the mine.
In the Underground Stream the Nerevarine will encounter a ghost by the name of Mansilamat Vabdas, Vabdas' husband. It will inform the Nerevarine that Lugrub gro-Ogdum killed him because he had found Lugrub sleeping instead of working when he opened the Mine that day. He will also inform the Nerevarine that proof is his murder can be found in the form of Lugrub's broken axe, lying in a pool of water in the Underground Stream area.
With the evidence, the Nerevarine must hand Darius the axe who will tell them kill Lugrub. Doing this will reward the Nerevarine with an Imperial Broadsword. Speaking with Darius about the deed afterwards will reveal that the Legion has started a donation fund for the widow giving the Nerevarine the option to donate to the fund (50
).

Trivia[]
- Darius intends to use the Land Deed to build a dock.
- If the Nerevarine isn't wearing Imperial Armor when they speak with Apo, her disposition will drop by 5.
- The Nerevarine should avoid killing the Kwama Queen, as it is needed for one of Darius' later quests "Gnisis Eggmine".
- Stealing the deed won't give the Nerevarine Darius' full potential disposition boost (10 as opposed to 20)
- Handing the Axe into Darius will raise his disposition by 3.
- Mentioning Vabdas' ghost will drop his disposition by 2 each time it is mentioned.
