Walkthrough[]

Upon completing "Azura's Aid," Abbot Durak will tell you to use the Duskstone to enter Emeric's dream. Head in there, and you will find yourself in a version of Wayrest filled with the shades of Supernal Dreamers. Your objective here is to locate King Emeric; he will be to your southeast past several buildings. Along the way, you will see several visions of Emeric's friends and loved ones betraying him. Emeric himself will be standing by the guillotine, sentencing someone to death. Speak with him, and it will be revealed that the man to be executed is in fact the old king Emeric; once the conversation is over, the fake Emeric will disappear and you can speak with the real one.

Sir Hughes: "When Galthis rules Stormhaven, I will return for Sir Hughes!"

Hosni at-Tura: "When Galthis is king, Hosni At-Tura will not elude me again."

General Godrun: "When the Night Terror has seized Stormhaven, General Godrun will obey me again!"

Emeric will tell you that Galthis is located in Emeric's castle, but you must first find the keys to get in there. These keys can be collected in any order. The Key of the Knight will be directly west of your current location, in a temple. You will find a demonic version of Sir Hughes guarding it. The Key of the Thief will be south of here, atop a flight of stairs. This key will be guarded by Count Hosni at-Tura. Finally, you will find the Key of the General to the southeast, guarded by General Godrun. Once you have all the keys, head to the king's palace near where you found the Key of the Thief. Inside, you will find Galthis in the throne room. This can be a difficult fight, so come prepared. Galthis will take the forms of King Emeric, Sir Hughes, Count Hosni and General Godrun before facing you in his true form, in which he can summon hordes of skeletons to his aid.

Once Galthis is defeated, head outside and talk to King Emeric. Free him, and he will disappear. You will then hear Vaermina's voice; she will ask you to come through the mirror she just sommoned and speak with her. Head through, then follow the path ahead of you. You will reach a shrine to Vaermina; talk to it, and Vaermina will congratulate you on your victory over her and then threaten to keep you in Quagmire forever. Four mirrors will now spawn in the area; each of them will take you to a battle with one of the individuals Galthis has impersonated before sending you back to the waking world.

Back in the real world, speak with High King Emeric. He will apologise for how weak he was in the dream and how you had to save him, and then he will tell you to come with him to the throne room. Talk to him there to finish the quest and start the next one, "The Road to Rivenspire."
