Tomb Beneath the Mountain is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online.

Background[]

Netapatuu and his colleagues came to Pinepeak Caverns to consult with the spirit of Hakra, one of Ysgramor's Companions. Worm Cultists attacked and drove them out. The cultists cannot be allowed to gain control of Hakra's spirit.

Objectives[]

  1. Use Hakra shard on a cultist corpse.
  2. Talk to the cultist.
  3. Destroy the burial urns.
  4. Find Hakra's spirit.
  5. Talk to Hakra outside.

Walkthrough[]

After finishing Pinepeak Caverns, speak with Netapatuu outside the cave. He will tell you that they were doing research on one of Ysgramor's companions, Hakra, but they were ambushed by the worm cult inside. He suspects that the worm cultists are trying to enslave Hakra's spirit. He asks you to head into the ruins and stab a worm cultist's corpse with a shard so that Hakra can possess their body and tell you how to stop the cultists.

Head inside and use the shard on one of the bodies lying around. Hakra's spirit will inhabit it. Speak to her, and she will tell you that the cultists are trying to breach her tomb and enslave her. She will add that her spirit is bound to this cave through three burial urns placed throughout the cavern, and she will ask you to smash these so she can escape.

Head further into the cave. you will encounter the questgiver for the quest Research Subject. This quest takes place in the same cave, so it is efficient to do both quests simultaneously. Either way, your first target is the Urn of Kyne, in hallway between the central room and the southern room. Second is the urn of Stuhn, in the dead end in the southeastern corner of the map. After destroying these two, only one remains. Head along the passage northwest of the central room, then turn south and follow the path until you reach the top floor of the central room. Take care, as there are many traps along the path. Once you have reached the destination, smash the urn of Shor.

Unfortunately, you were too late. Hakra has been bound. Head through the western passage to Hakra's tomb. Beware all the fire traps here. Once in the tomb, you will find a bound, hostile Hakra. Defeat her to free her. She will tell you to speak with her outside. Head outside and speak with her to finish the quest.

Reward[]

  • Hakra's Cuisses
  • 73–302 Gold
