To Help A Hero is a side quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles.
Background[]
- "Even though I never intend to be a Knight again, that Medallion represents an important part of my past. It's the only piece of my history that validates who I am."
- ―Pyke
Pyke is a former Knight of the Thorn. He lost his medallion shortly after entering the Isles. Although he says he has no wish to return home or remain a knight, he still wants the help to retrieve his medallion.
Walkthrough[]
Pyke marks Fetid Grove on the map. Go to the cave and fight the Grummites inside. The medallion can be found on the second level of the grove in a chest. The second level has two entrances, one which enters on the lower part, and one which enters above. The second entrance, is far closer to where the medallion is.
Take the medallion and bring it back to Pyke for the reward.

I've recovered an unusual amulet with the markings of a group calling itself The Knights of the Thorn. On the back, there is an inscription that reads "To Pyke, from Farwil." I can only assume that Pyke is here in the Shivering Isles. If I can find him, I'm sure he will be happy to get his medallion back. |
I've met a man named Pyke in the Hale Settlement. He claims to be something called a "Knight of the Thorn"; an elite group of knights from Cyrodiil. In a recent clash with some Grummites, he lost his Knights of the Thorn medallion and wants me to recover it from Fetid Grove, which he marked on my map. |
I have arrvied at Fetid Grove. I should seek out Pyke's medallion within. |
I've recovered Pyke's medallion. I should now return to the Hale Settlement and bring Pyke his missing property. |
Pyke was overjoyed at the return of his medallion, and has rewarded me with a gift.
