General Talin Warhaft was a spellsword[1], leader of the Imperial Legion[2] and personal bodyguard to Emperor Uriel Septim VII in the Third Era.
Background[]
Before the start of the Imperial Simulacrum, Jagar Tharn summoned both the Emperor and General Warhaft on bounds of treason to an unknown location. Quickly after, he not only banished the Emperor to Oblivion using the Staff of Chaos, Tharn also sent General Warhaft with him.[2]
When the Eternal Champion defeated Tharn, the Staff joining with the magical energies stored within the Jewel of Fire summoned both the Emperor and General Warhaft back from Oblivion. After the Emperor thanked the Champion for their services, Warhaft interjects quickly:
- "It seems, [Character Name], that I am quite in the way. Not only have you managed to save the Emperor, but my life as well. I cannot be but proud of one who has truly earned such renown, and my deepest respect..."
- ―Talin Warhaft[src]
Warhaft's future after Arena is unknown.

Trivia[]
- Both the Manual of Arms and the Manual of Armor were commissioned by Warhaft to serve as a guide for Imperial officers.
- The introduction to Arena notes General Warhaft's name as "Talin," but differs in the manual, whom the Eternal Champion calls "General Warhaft."
- General Warhaft is only seen being rescued in the ending sequence of the floppy disc/freeware version of Arena, not the CD-ROM version. However, he still appears in both versions in the opening slideshow.
- The unused introductory slide hints at General Warhaft being almost a mentor for the Eternal Champion.
