- ―Famia Mercius[src]
Sunken Treasure is a main quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online: Murkmire.
Background[]
An explorer named Famia Mercius is recruiting adventurers to join her on an expedition into a sunken Argonian xanmeer. Ancient treasures and mortal danger both await within this mysterious ruin.
Objectives[]
Walkthrough[]
Recruitement[]
Talk to Famia Mercius at the Lilmoth market. She will give out an invitation to meet her and her group at Lilmoth's western gate to participate in the expedition of a nearby ancient Argonian temple, the Ixtaxh Xanmeer.
The Swamps[]
Upon arrival at the gate, speak to Zadaza, a Khajiit mercenary and employee of Famia. After the conversation Famia will arrive and ask you to follow her to gather two Vakka Stones that are needed to open the Xanmeer's doors. She will lead the way to the first and eventually the second at a hut, where you'll have to speak to her again.
Ixtaxh Xanmeer[]
Travel to the Xanmeer in the east. In front of it Zadaza and two other expedition members, Kirstaleth and Varo Hosidias and enter it. Inside activate the lever Famia points to, which will result in the floor breaking open and your party falling into different rooms. Pick the lock on the nearby door. Proceed and after some swimming you will arrive at a bridge that requires a puzzle to be solved to lower.
Head north until you reach a great hall. To save the trapped Kirstaleth you have to collect four vines to craft a ladder. The vines are guarded by Hoarvor, River Trolls and plant life. Return to Famia and place down the ladder. Proceed until you reach Varo Hosidias and defend him from the attacking spiders. Go through the next door and cross the furnace to the next room. There Famia will take the Kajin-Jat Crystal, which will trigger a trap and cause the Ixtaxh Varoplam to attack. It is best defeated by luring it over the furnaces to damage it and quickly deal with any smaller versions of itself that it spawns. After its defeat the ruin will fill with toxic gas and you have about one minute to escape. It is possible to acquire additional loot from locked chests on the escape route, up to three relics, but taking to long will result in death. After escaping Varo and Kirstaleth announce they will not work for Famia anymore and leave. Go to the headquarters of Cyrodilic Collections in Lilmoth and speak to Famia to finish the quest and receive your reward. Any relics collected on the escape yield a gold bonus.
