Scathecraw is an ingredient in The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn. It can be used to make potions at an alchemy lab as part of Alchemy.
Background[]
Rieklings call the plant "redgrass" and are known to burn it during a ritual they call the "godspeak dance."[1]
Locations[]
Scathecraw can be harvested from their plants and are found around all ash-covered parts of Solstheim. Ten can be found in Raven Rock, they are around Morvayn Ancestral Tomb and Morvayn Manor. It is very hard to find it in the northern areas of Solstheim, where the ash is usually replaced by snow.

Usefulness[]
Scathecraw is one of the most effective ingredients to be used in poisons, exclusively due to all its properties being highly damaging to health, magicka, and stamina. It is found in abundance in Solstheim, and can prove a valuable substitute for less common ingredients or even an additive to make other poisons more potent.
If the Dragonborn has the Green Thumb perk in the alchemy tree, over a hundred Scathecraw samples can be harvested in Raven Rock alone.
Trivia[]
- This is the only ingredient with Ravage Health as a first effect.
