Roderick is a Redguard leader of a marauder band in Fort Sutch. The Hero is assigned to kill him in the quest "Bad Medicine." Roderick has contracted some sort of illness, but no one is sure what it is. When Roderick is attempted to steal from or speak to, a message will pop up stating "Roderick's skin is pale and covered in a sheen of sweat. It's obvious he's struggling for his life against whatever illness has claimed him."

The Hero will be sent to Fort Sutch to infiltrate the mercenary stronghold and switch out Roderick's medicine with a poison and send the man's soul to Sithis. While there, the Hero may overhear two of Roderick's men, Ulmug gro-Cromgog and Neesha, discussing how long the medicine is taking and how they hate watching him suffer.
