Walkthrough[]

In Mournhold, you will encounter a man named Galsa-Baru, who has a message for you from Leramil the Wise. There is a door in Apocrypha that must not be opened lest all of reality unravel, but a Dremora named Torvesard is determined to open it. Galsa-Baru will tell you to meet with Leramil in the Outlaws Refuge.

Head to the outlaws refuge. Here, you will find Leramil talking to Fa-Nuit-Hen and King Bazrag. Speak with her and she will tell you what is going on. Torvesard once served a Daedric Prince named Ithelia, but Hermaeus Mora has wiped Ithelia from everyone's memories, both mortals and immortals. However, Torvesard has uncovered two glyphics restoring his memory of Ithelia, and is determined to find a third glyphic to learn why and how she was locked away. Leramil will then share with you the ability to perceive the threads of fate and give you an item called the Echonir, which will allow you to see memories related to Ithelia.

Hermaeus Mora has sensed Torvesard's activity in three places: Grahtwood, Stonefalls and Reaper's March. Leramil will open portals to these places for you. Once there, follow the glowing green threads of fate.

In Reaper's March, you will end up in the southern part of the city of Dune, at the Temple of the Two Moons Path, where you will find a big cat named Old Ri'jhaad. He will tell you that you need the blessings of Jone and Jode to find what you seek. Head into the shrines of Jone and Jode here on the temple grounds, then head back to the cat. He will take you to the spot where you can use the Echonir to view the memory. You will see a memory of soldiers sent by Rid-Thar-ri'Datta to destroy the temple being defeated by Boethra faithful. Talk to Ri'jhaad about this and he will tell you that the Boethra faithful were mostly wiped out in the days of the Riddle'Thar, but some of them held on in Do'Krin Monastery. He will tell you to head there to continue your mission.

Do'Krin is in southern Reaper's March, just north of the Maw of Lorkhaj. The place is overrun by the Stonefire Cult, so take care. Head inside and follow the threads of fate to the northern room. There, you will find Leramil the Wise, as well as a portal to a Shrine of Boethra. Head through and proceed ahead, and you will witness Torvesard stealing Boethra's sacred sword, claiming he will use it to free Ithelia. Torvesard will then head out through a portal. Speak with Leramil and she will open portals to Stonefalls and Grahtwood, if you have not visited these places yet.

In Grahtwood, the threads of fate will lead you to the Reliquary of Stars. Inside, you will meet a man named Beragon, the brother of Eveli Sharp-Arrow. He is tracking a group called the Recollecion, who have found a hidden shrine behind the waterfall here. He will agree to help with Torvesard if you agree to help with the Recollection. Head north into the main room and look behind the waterfall there to find a hidden door. This will lead you to a place called the Moonshadow Shrine; you will be facing the Recollection throughout these halls. At the end, you will find a shrine, where the Recollection leader Endegor is waiting for you. He will say that Torvesard knew you would be here, but that this place does not have the relic Torvesard wanted. Endegor will then attack you; once you brin him to low health, he will transform into a giant Lurcher, so you will have to deal with that. After Endegor has been dealt with, Beragon will notice a note on the ground. It will tell you that Torvesard is looking elsewhere for the Lamp he wanted. Talk to Beragon about this and he will suggest you use your Echonir over by the altar. You will see a memory suggesting the lamp was moved to a cave to the north. At this point Leramil will show up; talk to Beragon and he will tell you he will continue to hunt the Recollection in the West Weald. Speak with Leramil hereafter and she will open portals to Reaper's March and Stonefalls, if you have not yet visited these places.

In Stonefalls, the threads will lead you to Mephala's Nest. Follow them through the dungeon to a trap door in the northern chamber. This will lead you to a Shrine of Mephala. In this abandoned shrine, you will find a book titled A Dance Along the Webs. This book describes theMephala faithful's fear of the rising ALMSIVI temple. After reading it, Leramil will suggest using the Echonir to examine memories related to it. You cannot use it on the actual book; instead, head back to the ritual circle and use it there. You will see cultists discussing using something called the Skein of Secrets, which is accessed through a secret portal. The portal opens by spilling a bit of blood on the circle. Do this, then head through to the Sanctuary of Whispers. You will find Torvesard here, but no item. Talk to Torvesard and he will tell you why he is doing what he is doing. Long ago, Hermaeus Mora conspired with other princes to remove Ithelia and stop her from changing fate. Now Torvesard seeks to restore his prince using the very tools the princes once used against her. Speak with Leramil after this and she will open portals to Grahtwood and Reaper's March, if you have not yet visited these places.

After you have visited all three sites, Leramil will point out that the artifacts Torvesard sought to obtain belonged to the three Good Daedra of the Dunmer faith. She will suggest meeting with an expert on ancient Dunmer religion, and will open a portal to Vvardenfell. Head through to the Shrine of Auzra and speak with Curate Gadayn there. He will not know much, but will suggest that you visit Holamayan Monastery up north. The door to the monastery will be closed, but the abbott will come through a portal to greet you, as he knew you would be coming. Talk to him and he will give you permission to peruse the libraries here; follow him through his portal and head to the library. In the library, use the Echonir and you will see three ancient priests handling a book. That very same book, Testament of Dandera Helas, will then appear on the table. Read it; it will describe how three priests gave their lives at a certain shrine to open a path for their princes to convene with Hermaeus Mora.

Talk to Leramil about this and she will speculate that Torvesard thinks he can open the way to Mora's realm using the same shrine the priests used. She will suggest looking for the shrine, though she does not know where to start. She will suggest asking the priests in the monastery what they know. The priest you are looking for is Nias Othralas, in the westernmost room. He will tell you that the Shrine of Inevitable Secrets was lost in the Merethic Era, but he will suggest that your Echonir can help locate it. It was supposedly located along the shores of Sadrith Mora. Head there and to the Daedric Ruins of Anudnabia. Once you arrive, Leramil will tell you to use the Echonir. You will see the priests allowing their princes to possess them, after which they waded into the water. Talk to Leramil about this and she will state that the shrine must have sunk underwater. She will craft a spell that will allow you to walk on the seafloor to reach the shrine.

Enter the sea, and start searching the seafloor for the shrine. You will find it to your northeast. Head through the portal there into the shrine proper, in a demiplane. Torvesard and his Recollection have already reached the place; fight your way through some Recollection cultists to make your way to Torvesard. Once you reach him, he will use Boethiah's blade to open a portal into Apocrypha, which he will then pass through. Hermaeus Mora will show up once this has happened; speak with him and he will open the portal for you. Head into Apocrypha and pursue Torvesard. Make your way through to the Mythos Vault; you will have to face off against Dexxiuk the Glass Mantikora here. Once Dexxiuk is dead, proceed on through the portal to the Glyphic of Shattered Reflections to pursue Torvesard. You will be too late; Torvesard will reach the memory, and you and him will learn what happened to Ithelia.

Torvesard will deduce how to free his prince, and will go through another portal. Pursue him through the portal and then into Ithelia's prison. Torvesard will find the prison empty; talk to him and he will suggest that Ithelia escaped by herself the moment he started remembering. He will then depart to go look for Ithelia; head back to the Mythos Vault to speak with Hermaeus Mora there. He will confirm that Ithelia is free. This place was never her prison, being forgotten was. The end of the world can still be prevented however. Mora will suggest you speak with Leramil the Wise. She will suggest returning to Grahtwood and consulting with Beragon, and will open a portal there. Head through, then speak with her again to finish the quest.
