Port Telvannis (also called Port Telvanis[UL 1] or Port Telvanni)[UL 2] is a city located on the main island of the rocky and rugged northeast archipelago,[1] northeast of the Telvanni Peninsula of mainland Morrowind, in the Padomaic Ocean.[2] It is a holding of the Great House Telvanni, and likely their capital and largest city. The High Telvanni wizards, called the Parliament of Bugs, are located here.[UL 1] Tel Mothrivra is found on the north side of the island, and House Indoril controls the towns of Ald Olyra and Ald Umbeil on the neighbouring islands.[3]
One of the more prominent citizens coming from Port Telvannis is Xal, a human Marukhati.[UL 1] Though it is in a far off isolated region, he was able to send and recieve letters from here.[UL 2]
