The Miregaunt are mysterious creatures and large walking parts of the swamp, similar to Lurchers, found in Black Marsh in The Elder Scrolls Online. Local legends associate the miregaunts with Hist trees, and some tribes believe they are called forth to guard, defend, or take vengeance on someone or something that hurt or hampered the Hist in some way. Lacking a head, they have a large cavity in its mid-section, sometimes filled with a stone, an ancient relic, or even a living creature.[1]
