Irinja was one of the serving maids working in Sathil castle. Despite appearing to be an innocent girl, she spied on Attrebus for Lady Sathil.[1]

Umbriel Crisis[]
Irinja met Attrebus and Sul when they arrived at Sathil castle. The travellers had told Nirai that they were naturalist writing a new edition of the Pocket Guide to the Empire. Irinja was amused by the fine speaking manner of Attrebus.[1]
Irinja came across Attrebus when he secretly tried to explore the castle at night. Irinja revealed him than she knew who he really was. She told Attrebus that she had read all of his adventures. She promised not to tell anyone about his real identity. Irinja also offered to help him.[2]
Irinja avoided him during the following days. After Attrebus was hurt by a snow storm, Irinja finally decided to talk to Attrebus again. They shared some whiskey, and Attrebus kissed Irinja. They talked Elhul Sathil, Hleryn Sathil's son. He was sent to find Umbra in the ruins of Vivec City. Elhul went mad after touching the sword. He killed his brothers and mothers, and he almost killed Irinja too. Lord Sathil ordered to imprison his son in the depths of the castle with the sword. After the conversation, they had a night of passion.[3]
Irinja led Attrebus and Sul to the dungeons of the castle. When they were near the gate, she told them that she would rather not go any further. Attrebus and Sul followed down the stairs. Sul ventured into the darkness while Attrebus waited at the gate. Yet, Nirai closed the door and trapped him inside. She revealed him that Irinja had told her their intentions.[4]
