High King Svargrim is the Nordic Jarl of Solitude and the High King of Western Skyrim. He can be found in the city's Blue Palace with his wife, Queen Gerhyld, and their daughter, Svana.

Obstinate and rigorous, the High King is steadfast in his distrust of outsiders. His conflict with Jorunn the Skald-King leads him to be suspicious towards anyone related to the Skald-King, and he feels his kingdom is under constant threat from Easterners.
