Feral Falmer represent a form of Falmer found in The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard. They can only be found inside Darkfall Grotto, accessed through the waterfall in the Forgotten Vale. They have slaughtered several Falmer and Chaurus inside the former Falmer village.
They are particularly notable because their body shape, particularly their heads, are distinctly more beast-like than normal Falmer, including such bestial features as a lack of lips, completely absent noses, and almost completely smooth upper heads where the regular Falmer have distinct eyebrows and eye sockets — a shape only shared by the Frozen Falmer in the Chantry of Auri-El, who were presumably frozen that way when they stormed it, (relatively) soon after their blinding by the Dwemer. This poses the idea that the Feral Falmer may be what the Falmer were before their relatively recent apparent rise in intelligence and cultural complexity.
Alternatively, the Feral Falmer may in fact be Falmer who have become inflicted with a form of Vampirism. The fact that they exhibit sharp fangs, elongated claws, and what appear to be the beginning formations of bat-like wings protruding from their backs support this theory, as their appearance bears a strong resemblance to that of Vampire Lords. This is supported by the observation that, when they are found in Darkfall Grotto, the Feral Falmer seem to have degenerated and feasted upon the members of their isolated village, lending credence to the idea that a few of the members of a particular colony have degenerated into the feral state, rather than the Falmer having developed from them.
This could also mean that the Chantry of Auri-El was stormed much more recently than assumed, and possibly by a group of Feral Falmer afflicted with Vampirism, accounting for the appearance of the Frozen Falmer within the Chantry itself as well as Arch-Curate Vyrthur's affliction.
They lack any form of apparel and move noticeably faster than their more heavily armored brethren. Feral Falmer only use their claws or Falmer Swords, although they might pick up the weapons of nearby corpses.
