Walkthrough[]
When approaching Fort Sphinxmoth, you will run into a soldier named Rafora Casca. She will tell you that the bandits here raided a chapel of Mara just over the border with Cyrodiil. She will ask you to speak with the priestess here if you wish to help.
You will find Priestess Marcella up the road, near the Skyshard. She will tell you that the bandits stole four holy relics, one of which is said to have divine mystical properties. They have sent four soldiers into the fort to try and reclaim the relics, but they have yet to return. Your job now is to head into the ruins, find the missing soldiers and retrieve the relics. The first relic, the Phylactery of Mara, can be found in the first room you enter after going through the hallway. It will be on the top floor, in the northwest of the room. It will be guarded by Darius, so you will have to kill him. There are tons of fire and spikes traps in this room, so take care to avoid them. You will also find the soldiers Talania Priscus and Eliana Salvius in this room; either one of them will start the quest "Prisoners of the Sphinx." That quest takes place in the same area as this one, so it is efficient to do both simultaneously.
Head on through the southeast hallway into the storage vaults. You will find the Circlet of Mara in a small cell north of where you exited the birthsign room if you did the quest "Prisoners of the Sphinx." Take it, then head further on into the Outer Court. The Dagger of Mara will be in the southwest of this area, in a tower across the river. It will be guarded by Engannas, so you will have to kill her to get it. Finally, head north into the Inner Court. The bandit leader Accalia is in this room, but it is possible to get past without fighting him. Kill him or sneak past, then head into the room to the west to find the final relic, the Chalice of Mara. You will have to use the lever to get into the room. Take the Chalice, then head out of the fort and return the items to Marcella Ammianus to finish the quest.
